Infotainment Engineer

職務内容／Job duties As an infotainment expert in our team, you assume ownership for a set of infotainment functions – e.g., navigation, entertainment, localization, or speech – for the Japanese market across the varied brands of the Volkswagen Group. You accompany your functions along the product development process on the German side and have a part to play from conceptualization through implementation up to verification and function release. Responsibilities: 1) Bringing functions from customer-ready to customer-loved As a European carmaker, most of our infotainment functions are first developed by teams in Europe. However, Japanese customers’ expectations and needs may differ from those of European ones. Your primary job objective is to ensure a tailor-made product that Japanese customers love! 2) Acting as the primary point of contact for Japan market-related questions for headquarter stakeholders When it comes to your functions, you will be the technical expert people come to. You will handle daily requests ranging from specifications (or the lack thereof) to verification test results, or discussions on how to fix bugs. You may not know all the answers, but you will find a way to get them. 3) Supporting the development of function in terms of testing and validation You will work close to the development team in Germany and support them for testing and validating the functions. Track the issues which you find during the development time and try to bring the fix for them by communicating with the engineers in Germany. 4) Handling local language related topics You are responsible for all the local language related topic, for example, text translation, speech dialog system, text to speech and input method. Especially, you will handle all the translation deliveries to the system as well as bug fixing in translation area.   応募資格／Qualifications 【Experience】 -Experience in engineering or HMI-related job -Working experience in area of software and/or in the automotive industry -Experience in Infotainment testing, Navigation testing is highly appreciated -Experience in translation, handling TTS engine, development of speech dialog system 【Qualifications】 1) Education: BA or equivalent 2) English: advanced level; Japanese: Native only 3) High technical affinity 4) High interest in cars and automotive industry 5) Ability to take customers’ perspective 6) Expert knowledge or experience of general automotive or software technology 7) Experience in Reading, writing and working with technical specification for automotive requirements 8) Analytical problem identification, solving and reporting 9) Willingness to build expert knowledge on the assigned functions 10) Experience in System and software technical debugging and trouble shooting 11) communication skills and ability to explain complex topics to stakeholders on all levels of knowledge 12) Driver’s license valid in Japan   勤務地／Location Yokohama
