VTT_Connected Infotainment Engineer

職務内容／Job duties Responsibility of this role is to ensure that the systems, functions and services in charge for Connected Infotainment products of Volkswagen Group Brands are properly engineered and validated in local markets (i.e. Japan and Korea) for the Volkswagen Group brands (either Volkswagen or Lamborghini) and CARIAD by developing, testing and releasing of the systems, functions and services. Main Tasks: 1) System Integration Engineering Responsibility to ensure the integration of systems, functions and services within the Connected Infotainment product in order to ensure proper testability, debugging, development and release for the function in charge. Aligning with developers and technical experts at headquarter as well as at external stakeholders. Escalating in case top issues are not planned for proper implementation or fixing. Contributing in the technical analysis and evaluation of system and connectivity topics and issues. 2) Feature (capability) planning and verification Ensuring the proper quality of the functions within the domain in charge by overlooking the implementation planning and tracking the implementation and verification status. Tracking the errors and issues of the domain in charge as well as initiating and overlooking the problem solving process at responsible departments. Reviewing the final end-customer quality of the corresponding functions and providing statement for the final release approval recommendation in adherence with project milestones. 3) Problem analysis and solving Identifying problems. Performing the problem analysis and evaluation. Participating in the debugging of technical problems in the systems and functions together with developers and technical experts. Independent solving and troubleshooting of technical problems or participating in the solving process. Escalating top technical issues and problems to management and head quarter. 4) Test plan and strategy Aligning and defining the local test scope for the connectivity domain together with the test management and with head quarter. Ensuring that the proper testing of the necessary functions is defined in order to initiate the testing activities. Continuously aligning with the test manager for improvements of the test strategy in regards to quality or efficiency. Supporting the test manager and project manager in incorporating the domain in charge into the local overall testing strategy by collaboratively defining the local testing strategy and testing processes for the domain in charge. 5) Local Test Scope Aligning and defining the local test scope for the connectivity domain together with the test management and with head quarter. Ensuring that the proper testing of the necessary functions is defined in order to initiate the testing activities. Continuously aligning with the test manager for improvements of the test strategy in regards to quality or efficiency 6) Competitor analysis Assessing and reviewing the connected infotainment systems from international and local competitors. Analyzing new technologies of competitors and reporting relevant findings. Main KPIs: ・Requirements and functions for domain in charge are considered, aligned and implemented ・Problems and issues within systems are identified and resolved ・Blockers for top priority issues of systems are escalated ・Project milestones for activities in charge are secured in proper quality and time ・Regular reports towards head quarter and stakeholders ・Release of systems and functions in time and with proper quality ・Test environment is functional and properly working   応募資格／Qualifications ・University degree or equivalent experience ・3-5 years of relevant experience in engineering related job ・Working experience in area of the automotive industry ・Business in both Japanese and English （including conversation) ・Japanese Driver's license holder ・Knowledge or experience of general automotive or software technology ・Wilingness to build expert knowledge on the assigned functions ・Reading, writing and working with technical specification for automotive requirements ・Analytical problem identification, solving and reporting ・Communication with teams, management, head quarter and other stakeholder ・System and software technical debugging and trouble shooting ・Operation process creation and optimization for own area of responsibility ・Safe driving skills  勤務地／Location Yokohama
